The Copacabana Palace is the most famous hotel in Rio de Janeiro. The historic Orient-Express hotel was built in 1923 for the celebrations of Brazil’s first hundred years of independence. It is the only Art Deco hotel of its kind on Copacabana Beach, and is known throughout the city as being the best luxury hotel in Rio.
The hotel is set over two buildings, with a large swimming pool and restaurant between them. Guest rooms are spread across both buildings, and some have stunning views of Copacabana Beach and Sugar Loaf Mountain. Standard rooms are spacious and feature tropical decor with king size beds, desks, wardrobes, mini bars, and large bathrooms with showers and tubs.
