You&#039;re now more likely to be charged around USD$35 for a taxi from the airport to Copacabana - that&#039;s if you don&#039;t get the special &#039;gringo&#039;(tourist) rate.  If you want a fixed rate taxi then these can be booked at the airport, or with companies such as Rio Airport Transfer (www.rioairporttransfer.com).  These companies are more expensive than the traditional taxis, but you have the advantage of knowing the price prior to getting into the cab.</description>
